THE REED CENTER

The Reed Center, located at 7777 Lemmon Ave. in Dallas, is part of a 25-acre, $140-million mixed-use redevelopment at the historic former Braniff International Airways facility at Dallas Love Field. The location is home to the new 267,342-square-foot Planet Lincoln Dallas Love Field dealership, which is adjacent to the iconic Braniff building being developed to house aviation facilities, entertainment venues and hospitality facilities. The Planet Lincoln dealership is the largest Lincoln facility in the world. It includes six-stories of indoor inventory with 600+ parking spaces. The dealership and site redevelopment is a vision seven years in the making by Randall Reed, the award-winning Texas automotive dealer and entrepreneur. In 2009, Mr. Reed retained Michael Graves, founding partner of The Gravity Company, to develop his vision of the mixed-use redevelopment including the Lincoln dealership. The Gravity Company has worked with the Federal Aviation Administration, Texas Historical Commission and National Parks Service to secure the approvals needed to meet the guidelines and preservation requirements. The restoration and expansion of the former Braniff building will help restore a portion of the airfield to an earlier time in aviation history and recapture the modern jet-setter lifestyle that was once defined by Braniff International Airways in the 1950s.
